Merry Christmas!

I've made the stuffings and sauces and planned the cooking times... I've even done some work in the garden and pruned the grape vines! Now I can put my feet up, and have a cup of tea and a slice of stollen while I listen to the carols from King's (just up the road in Cambridge).

Wishing you all of you a peaceful and happy Christmas Day!

Thank you for following my adventures on Purple Podded Peas in 2013

If you're travelling stay safe this stormy Christmas.

  7. Oh Celia, every time that I hear those first notes of Once in Royal David's City, I feel tears fill my eyes. My brothers were in a boys choir back in our Virginia childhood (perhaps I've already told you this) and I love the Lessons and Carols service.

Best wishes to you and yours for a wonderful Christmas...it is already Christmas Day over there! Won't it be fun to see what the New Year brings?

  10. Hi Celia - belated Christmas greetings and best wishes for the New Year which is almost upon us.

I read the lovely article about you - and was impressed by your beautiful work - in the Dec. issue of UK Country Living, then decided to peek at your blog and see what was for sale in your Etsy shop. All the cards are stunning. Being a blogger myself I'm always interested in finding new creative bloggers.......I will be following you as I love anything to do with art and sewing!

I'm originally from Devon where I grew up loving the countryside and Dartmoor. I now live in North Carolina having emigrated to the US many, many years ago! England is and always will be home to me and, when I visit, the beauty of the countryside and coastline make me wonder how I was ever able to leave!

Off to have my afternoon cup of tea along with a mince pie soon. Have to finish them up, along with the Christmas cake, as back to healthy eating very soon!

Best wishes - Mary (A Breath Of Fresh Air)

P.S. Celia, you do ship to the US don't you?
