LOL, what a clever Chuck! Have you been watching the Christmas nigella on Beeb2? Simply delicious!Zoë
Certainly have Zoe! :-)Celiax
way to go little Spice! hope you don't get notice of copyright infringement :)
Clever girl - my favourite colour - but surely that is a duck egg? Are we sure the spice girls don't have identity crises? Perhaps it's Christmas - everyone wonders who they are at this time of year!
Oooh, really pretty. But then, they're such pretty little hens.
Now that is one clever chicken, lol!
No duck egg - you've got a "true blue" Araucana!Funny, but they are not very popular here because people think the eggs might be inedible, having a blue shell. That aside, Araucana hens are not cheap, due to low demand and quarantine. (Can't bring in any new breeding srains;not just these.)
my paternal grandmother kept aracaunas. she called them her easter egg chickens due to the colored shells. wonderfully easy-tempered creatures--unlike the little bantams!
Well done, Saffron, Ginger and the other one..Nutmeg?? whichever one of you girls it was...congratulations.
What a beautiful egg!--Curmudgeon
The egg was laid by Saffron Spice. Ginger Spice has also started laying, her eggs are a delicate shade of sage green.Celia:-)
