way to go little Spice! hope you don't get notice of copyright infringement :)
ReplyDeleteHeavenly blue
ReplyDeleteClever girl - my favourite colour - but surely that is a duck egg? Are we sure the spice girls don't have identity crises? Perhaps it's Christmas - everyone wonders who they are at this time of year!
ReplyDeleteOooh, really pretty. But then, they're such pretty little hens.
ReplyDeleteNow that is one clever chicken, lol!
ReplyDeleteNo duck egg - you've got a "true blue" Araucana!
ReplyDeleteFunny, but they are not very popular here because people think the eggs might be inedible, having a blue shell. That aside, Araucana hens are not cheap, due to low demand and quarantine. (Can't bring in any new breeding srains;not just these.)
my paternal grandmother kept aracaunas. she called them her easter egg chickens due to the colored shells. wonderfully easy-tempered creatures--unlike the little bantams!
ReplyDeleteWell done, Saffron, Ginger and the other one..Nutmeg?? whichever one of you girls it was...congratulations.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful egg!

The egg was laid by Saffron Spice. Ginger Spice has also started laying, her eggs are a delicate shade of sage green.
