You use a longish circular knitting needle and the magic loop technique, obviously you need to use 2 balls of yarn too. So now the 2 balls of Regia Softy in my living room stash (as distinct from my much larger spare room stash) are going move from gently winking at me to crashing cymbals whenever I look in their direction ... Mittens sound good, I've seen loads of lovely patterns recently.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1220897337333701839.post-72057119673695370112008-09-02T09:01:00.000+01:002008-09-02T09:01:00.000+01:00Lovely colours, the socks and the work underneath....Lovely colours, the socks and the work underneath. And yes, I've been knitting while watching your 'Wives & Daughters' DVD.

Veg heaven - isn't it brilliant!

Gina - this sock wool is just too tempting!

Joanna - look at www.hjertegarn.dk

Artslice - isn't it fun knitting stripes!

Louise - have a go! I'm sure you'll be able to doit. Start with a scarf then progress to socks.

Organic Viking - you wouldn't believe the number of unfinished projects that I have in my wake!!!!

Moreidlethoughts - I found a 'toe-up' sock pattern using 5 needles so added an extra pin to my Grandma's set of 4. I've recently found some gorgeous hand-dyed yarn on etsy.com :)

Pamela - You're quite right - more space to see what you're doing! I'm thinking of knitting mittens or gloves with the last 2 balls bought in Denmark.

Hannah - It's been good therapy to sit and knit. I'm going to enjoy wearing these when it gets chilly!Celia Harthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12776686088752602321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1220897337333701839.post-4906943036495395782008-08-31T15:51:00.000+01:002008-08-31T15:51:00.000+01:00Oh those are lovely socks - I want a pair. I don't make socks because I'd never get the second one done and there is enough in my stash of unfinished items without adding socks. 5 needles are way easier than 4 I think, more space to work somehow.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1220897337333701839.post-9172487768913316072008-08-31T04:10:00.000+01:002008-08-31T04:10:00.000+01:00Blogger has been eating comments again!
