On our walk this morning we walked over a stone clapper bridge that nuns from the nearby 9th century Abbey may well have walked across. I love it when you find pieces that remind me just how close those times are to us, as well as how far away.
Glad you made it to see Silverpebble.Threadspiderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06780634324037593398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1220897337333701839.post-2779153531602240922009-03-08T13:25:00.000+00:002009-03-08T13:25:00.000+00:00i would've liked to see nina frances in action...i would've liked to see nina frances in action !!:) for the tools & technology available, the details on the coin & jewelry amazes me.petoskystonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01633621111274495078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1220897337333701839.post-1420791331373657322009-03-08T11:44:00.000+00:002009-03-08T11:44:00.000+00:00This was so interesting I am now in the midddle of...This was so interesting I am now in the midddle of a goggle search to find out more. It's amazing what influence the Anglo Saxon missionaries had in Europe and eye opening how the church and England could easily have taken a totally different route through history.

Hi Veg Heaven - the archaeology course must have been really interesting.
